Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period Is Closing — Is Your Plan Still Right for You?
October 15 through December 7 is your once-a-year window to change your Medicare Advantage or Part D plan. After December 7, most people are locked into their current plan for the entire next year. A free review now takes 20 minutes and could save you from a year of surprises.

We'll check your plan against your doctors, drugs, and budget — before the deadline closes.
What Happens If You Miss December 7
Unlike some deadlines, this one doesn't just slip — it closes your options for an entire year.
Once December 7 passes, you're generally locked into your current Medicare Advantage or Part D plan through the end of next year. The only other chances to make a change are the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31, one switch only) or a Special Enrollment Period if you qualify for one.
That can mean staying with a plan where your doctor is now out-of-network, a prescription costs more than it should, or your premium climbed — for twelve more months, with no way to fix it until the next AEP rolls around.
3 Signs Your Plan Is Worth a Second Look
If any of these sound familiar, it's worth using the time you have left before December 7.
Your doctor left the network
Provider networks change every year. A doctor or specialist you rely on may no longer be in-network for your current plan.
A prescription got more expensive
Drug formularies and cost tiers are reset annually. A medication that used to be affordable can jump to a much higher tier.
Your premium or costs went up
Plans can raise premiums, deductibles, or copays year to year, even if the plan name stays the same.

AEP Deadline Questions, Answered
What Florida seniors ask us most as the December 7 deadline gets close.
The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs October 15 through December 7 every year. Any change you make during that window takes effect January 1. Once December 7 passes, most people cannot switch their Medicare Advantage or Part D plan again until the next AEP, unless they qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
If you don't act by December 7, you generally stay on your current Medicare Advantage or Part D plan for the entire next year — even if your doctor left the network, a drug moved to a higher tier, or your costs went up. Outside of AEP, you can only make changes during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31, one change only) or if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
No — if you take no action, your current Medicare Advantage or Part D plan typically renews automatically. But it's still worth a quick review each year, because plan networks, formularies, and costs can change from one year to the next even if you don't change anything yourself.
A free review with a licensed agent usually takes 20–30 minutes. We check whether your doctors and prescriptions are still covered under your current plan, compare it against other options available in your area, and let you know if switching would help — with no obligation either way.
Not until December 7. Every day that passes narrows your options as appointment slots fill up, so the sooner you call, the more time we have to compare plans properly before the deadline closes.
